I am a Woman , What's your super power ?

International Women’s day, held on March 8th every year, gives you another reason to recognize women’s incredible achievements and encourages to advocate for women’s rights and equality around the world.

But did you know that this dates back to the early 1900s when 15000 women flooded the New York streets in hopes for better working conditions, pay and voting rights. Since then, it has been established as the Women’s day and continued to spread to several countries across the world.

Not many know the colors that depict Women’s Day. They are Purple, signifying justice and dignity Green symbolizing hope and White representing purity.

Here we suggest 6 ways to celebrate #IWD2022

Inspire her to attend a seminar or an online event where she can listen to successful women and their journey. This will boost her morale and instill confidence to take up challenges.

Women’s empowerment seems senseless until and unless they themselves do not rise for themselves. Encourage her to fight her battles, stand up against the stereotypes. She is not the "Abla Naari "

( the way she has been conditioned by the society since ages) but she is " The Naari" who has the ability to work shoulder to shoulder with her male counterparts.

Support businesses that are owned, operated, and controlled by women. Make a deliberate effort to support local business run by women. Try buying your bakery items, home décor products, stationary and even your gifts for small and big occasions and you will be surprised at the number of women you are helping involuntarily.

Encourage her to prioritize herself sometimes. Indulge in self care , take a short vacation , read a book, rekindle her passions and hobbies, enroll in some course she always wanted to.

The theme for this year’s Women’s Day is break the bias. You can click a photo of yours or your women friend striking the #IWD 2022 pose and share your #BreakTheBias image on social media.

Last but not the least, acknowledge the awesome women in your life. A small “Thank You” goes a long way in expressing your appreciation, love and support towards them. The best way to convey it is by giving her a gift, something that’s emotional, thoughtful, and useful. You can browse through several gift box options that suits various profiles of women in our "gifts for her" section. This is opportune time to thank and recognize the women around you, be it your mother, sister, daughter, office team member or colleague.
